Herangtunet is set amid the breath-taking scenery of the Hegge Fjord and the Jotunheimen mountain, nestled in a fairy tale setting of lush woods and sparkling lakes. Here, in the Valdres province - one of Norway's sunniest regions – is where owners Marco & Marie-José Robeerst built their dream and created a world in which interior design, food, wine and the experience of the nature & culture all contribute to an experience that stirs all your senses.

Herangtunet is both an intimate and a luxury hotel in Norway. For your trip to Scandinavia, Herangtunet is the best hotel in Norway, whatever the goal of your visit is. We spent many years making it the wonderful warm place it is today. A place where ideas have found a home in four suites and five rooms, each with their own identity and story to tell when you sit down in one of the chairs in front of the fireplace.

In 2007 we, Marie José and Marco, decided to trade in our Amsterdam city life for the Heggenes village vibe. Along came Balder, our son. Our jobs as interior designer and graphic designer we left behind when we set our mind and creativity to turning yesterday’s farm into today’s boutique hotel.
