Look no further!Welcome to the famous Jotunheimen National Park-Winter Edition! We offer backcountry skiing from Besseggen with professional and experienced guides. Besseggen Ridge is one of the most popular hikes during summer and welcomes around 60 000 people annually. However, during winter only a few decide to venture out to the ridge, making it a spectacular and peaceful adventure. Winters in Norway are cold, and even though the winter months (November, December, January, February) are very dark, there will often be sunlight during the day. This makes for truly beautiful days with clear blue skies and white snow. The groups are small and exclusive and you will be accompanied by local guides that will take you to the ridge and find the best places for you to ski down. You will be staying in a traditional mountain lodge, Bessheim Fjellstue.
Make sure to bring your own ski equipment and avalanche beacon, or we will be able to rent you what ever equipment you are missing. This unique experience, off the beaten track in the heart of Jotunheimen is suitable for adults in good physical condition with previous experience from ski touring. We look forward to seeing you!

Bessheim is a lovely mountain lodge located very close to Besseggen. Since its opening in 1890, Bessheim has welcomed tourists and travellers that have taken the journey to Valdres and along the National Tourist Road. It is known for its delicious cuisine, based on local produce and tradition, and considered one of the best places to eat in the area.
