South of Jotunheim and Skarvheimen, the mountain Filefjell (900 m.a.s.l.) welcomes trekking lovers and fanatics of snow longing for a full immersion in their natural habitat, all year around. And what’s best than reside directly 5 minutes from the mountains? A traditional mountain farm whose structures were turned to hotel lodge, Filefjellstuene will provide you with the necessary amount of kos necessary to relax after a tough day on the mountains – with possibility to host cats and dogs as well. The lodgings have the undisputed advantage to be right on the E16, along the historic “King’s Road” and at an equal distance (ca. 250 km or 3,5 hours) from both Oslo and Bergen, with activities all year round, for different targets of visitors. In addition to lodgings, Filefjellstuene provides excellent meals served in the main lodge, based on km 0 sourced raw materials from the nearby Valdres.
