Memurubu Turisthytte

Originally a mountain pasture built in 1872, Memurubu is a private mountain hut situated along the lake Gjende, widely recognised as the most modern lodging in Jotunheim. Between Gjendebu and Gjendesheim, at the mouth of the river Muru, Memurubu is a popular start or end of the famous Besseggen hiking trail, by virtue of the dock which is pretty active during summer season. Besides Besseggen, there are several other hiking trails which makes the area popular, but you can enjoy the venue as well during winter: you will have quiet and silence for sure, but as well chance for action, fun and wonderful moments, wherever you want, with who you want!
