Ruten Fjellstue

Ruten has been welcoming tourists since 1939, but carries an older history, with a past as mountain farm from the 19-century. Berit and Arthur, who own and run the lodge today, are proud 3rd generation Hosts, ready to give the best tips on the activities around. Espedalen, location of this little, picturesque lodge is also known as Elgland or “land of the elks”, due to the massive elk migration path which crosses this territory; besides that, the area has different types of terrains and is close to Mjolkvegen - best cycling road in Europe, apparently – Jotunheim and other landmarks... A place everyone can enjoy at any given season! And let’s not forget the cuisine! Berit and Arthur serve local ingredients, based on recipes that have been used here for generations, but with new twists.
