The self-managed cabin Torfinnsbu can be reached by the M/B Bitihorn from Bygdin or Eidsbugarden. It is also possible to hike to the cabin.

Placed in the halfway on the shore of the lake Bygdin, with several hiking routes like Svartdalen, Østre Torfinnstind and Kvitskardtinden, and several other peaks over 2000 m.a.s.l. around, this lodging guarantees awe-inspiring scenarios. Being Torfinnsbu a self-service cabin, it’s the perfect place for those seeking privacy, silence, and undisturbed contact with nature: the cabin has everything you need in terms of equipment for cooking and a pleasant stay, such as full kitchen equipment, crockery, duvets and pillows, good selection of food in the provision room. There is no electricity in the cabin, but gas, wood burning and candles as a light source; water can be obtained from the nearest stream/water. Sounds like paradisiac retreat? We can understand you, everybody needs a pause from modern life, but when it’s time to go back, M/T Bitihorn boat will be at the dock nearby, ready to take you back to everyday life.
