Bessheim Fjellstue og Hytter

Bessheim is a lovely mountain lodge located very close to Besseggen. Since its opening in 1890, Bessheim has welcomed tourists and travellers that have taken the journey to Valdres and along the National Tourist Road. It is known for its delicious cuisine, based on local produce and tradition, and considered one of the best places to eat in the area.

At Bessheim the family run property is known for its locally sourced food and for the high quality of the food. Bessheim stands at a height of 964 metres above sea-level in Jotunheimen in Norway. The hotel is the perfect base for nice and quiet nature experiences, both summer and winter. The location is perfect for hiking the famous Besseggen Ridge, and you can make the alternative hike from the doorsteps of the hotel. Or take the bus 10 min to Gjendesheim and start the hike from there.
