Veodalen is a 30-kilometer-long valley located in the municipalities of Lom and Vågå in Innlandet county, Norway. The valley begins at the Veobreen glacier, surrounded by mountains such as Veobretinden, Veopallan, and Veotinden in the Jotunheimen range. It extends eastward, following the river Veo, and concludes where the Veo merges with the river Sjoa, becoming part of the larger Sjodalen valley.
Toll Road Access:
Access to Veodalen is facilitated by a toll road that runs through most of the valley, reaching up to the Glitterheim tourist cabin, approximately 8 kilometers from the valley's innermost part. Visitors can drive over Valdresflya via Fv 51 to Randsverk and then follow a 23-kilometer-long toll road to the parking lot at the national park boundary in Veodalen. From this parking area, it's about a 1.5-hour walk or a 45-minute bike ride to Glitterheim. Parking is free at the national park boundary.

Cycling within Veodalen is popular, especially the route from the national park boundary to Glitterheim, which is approximately 7 kilometers and can be covered in about 45 minutes by bike.Bicycles can be rented by the parking for this purpose, and arrangements for luggage transportation can be made with the staff at Glitterheim.
How to get to the parking in Veodalen
By Car:
Drive on Valdresflya, the Norwegian County Road 51 (Fv 51) to Randsverk, which serves as a key junction for roads leading to Veodalen. Take the Toll Road to Veodalen. From Randsverk, follow the signs to Veodalen and Glitterheim. This involves taking a 23-kilometer toll road that runs into Veodalen.
The toll road ends at a parking lot at the boundary of Jotunheimen National Park.
The toll road is private, so you’ll need to pay a fee. Payment methods typically include cash or an automated system for cards.The parking area is well-marked and free. From here, you can hike or bike to destinations like Glitterheim (about 7–8 km further in the valley)
