Welcome to a classical music festival in the heart of Norway. The festival presents leading soloists from around the world. The audience can expect world-renowned musicians in beautiful classic surroundings. The events are usually hold outdoors, in barns, mountain lodges or in churches.
In addition to bringing one classical artist from around the world, the festival also acts as a big meeting place for both today’s and tomorrows stars. With several concerts from upcoming new talents.
This is a festival where where some of today’s newly established practitioners have started their careers. These include Vilde, Alexander Rybak, Catharina Chen, Ragnhild and Eldbjørg Hemsing, Tine Thing Helseth, Guro Kleven Hagen and Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad.
The Valdres Festival is owned and operated by Nord-Aurdal municipality. And have their office in the town hall at Fagernes in Valdres.
